Welcome to the lodge
We have started in the living room where you have found our welcome file, so I thought I would start to introduce this living room to you.
The most important bit the WIFI PASSWORD = You will find the box underneath the tv on the left hand side a white ee box, if the wifi EE key is not visible on your wifi setting you just need to tap the right and side of the white EE box, It can sometimes be in sleepy mode.

Main TV
Our first year renting was 2025 and we have learned a lot from turning into hosts along the way rather than the guests. The most common questions where how the TV works? Or concerns on it not working, we have realised many guests don’t log off their Netflix or unplug appliance and plug in their own devices, taken out the aerial or adding, phones, fire sticks, consoles, etc
When our cleaner does your clean it doesn’t involve switching the TV on, checking and connecting the PlayStation or signing out of our last guests Netflix or prime from the tv or PlayStation making sure it all works. So, we just ask each guest please don’t unplug the aerial or the PlayStation. If you want to watch and DVDS please pop them back in the box, if you want to plug in your own FIRESTICK please plug everything back, and please sign out of your devices. So, our next guest can enjoy the comfort of walking in and popping the TV on.
How it works – The TV is plugged in as well as the aerial on the tv remote you have the Freeview channels and NETFLIX. You can access other TV Apps from the PlayStation. Sometimes the TV needs also reconnecting to the internet.
FIRE/Fireplace
To pop the electric fire on there are 3 button under the right hand side, Enjoy!
Baskets – Games and blankets are in the baskets to enjoy, there are other games under the cupboards in the living room. (Before you travel you may want to remember your own games dvds too)
Pets, we love pets at the caravan and a lil obsessed with ours too, we just ask you please to place blankets and beds down. We also please ask you not to leave your pets for long period of times in the van as just like us uuuuumans they can get very bored too!
Doggy Pooooooop!
Please look around for any poop around the decking, sometimes these little poops can be hidden. Our cleaner does do a quick sweep ready for our next guests but it is your responsibility to please bag it before you leave so no extra cleaning charged occur.
Before you arrive you may want to add, doggy bags, bowls,bedding.
At the lodge we have a dog bowl, pet treats, pet spray.
The lodge is over 3 deckings and we have made it pet friendly so no escapees.
In the glass shelves you will find our POSH GLASSES for an extra special pour x
Kitchen (Before you arrive you may want to bring your own too but we have)
Tea,coffee,sugar on the right above the hob and condiments bottom of this in the cupboard.
Underneath the sink you will find pans and cleaning items
We just ask when you leave to wash up and pop away, and also empty the dishwasher any pots. Tablets provided
Actifryer near fridge, both drawers works like the dual ninja
We pretty much do most of our cooking in this, cleaning wise we usually just pop some washing up liquid in each drawer fill up with hot kettle water and leave them for half hours and rinse away.
Gas Oven, On the oven – far right button then the 2nd valve on the left. If its flashing the middle button just needs pressing.
Gas hob, find the correct valve to the ring then hold down and turn until lit
Kitchen Island (before you arrive I only have the island with usb spots so you may want to bring plugs for your chargers too)
On the island you will see the chrome circle phone charger, and press down for extra sockets.
Bathroom/ensuite
Both have hand towels, hand soap and toilet rolls/ hair dryer provided
Showers both have valves that you just turn to the right
Bedrooms
All the beds have mattress and pillow protectors on and all have been made up ready for your stay.
One of the x2 single beds has a tv in with Netflix works the same as the living room
Outdoors
Ninja BBQ, is in the utility please do not cook inside, the table for this is on the middle decking and there is x2 outdoor switches to plug this in. Once finished please clean the griddle after use, so the next guest can enjoy. This may incur an extra cleaning charge if not done, so please double check when your leaving thanks.
NO Disposable BBQS are allowed on site
Decking
The decking when wet can be very slippery so please be careful, we just ask for your own safety please use plastics outside for your own safety.
Before you arrive
You may want to pack - slippers for the decking, flips flops around the hot tub, as well as a towel bring a spare hot tub towels, dressing gowns etc really useful when in and out of the hot tub.
Outdoor lights found on lights page
Outdoor cushions, on dry days the cleaner may have left the cushions out, if these are wet on arrival as we can’t predict the weather we have large DRY patterned cushions in the event this happens to sit outside on. You will find these in the utility. Please do not leave these outside, these are to be brought in and out after every use.

As you look from the gate at the front of the lodge to come in at the end of the decking path, you will see a medium sized shed. This contains both rattan furniture cushions. The light grey ones are for the top deck furniture, and the darker grey the middle decking area.
Bottom, we have locked this off as it is quite vast to maintain all 3 deckings. So we just ask to be very careful when going down When going down just please watch the steps as these are uneven in places. A great bottom deck to feed the swans, ducks especially meet the new babies this year.
The patio set near the patio doors do not have any bottom cushions to these, we just place pillows on these. These pillows may be out if not, pillows are behind the sofa in the living room. Again please bring pillows in if its raining.
Fishing from the bottom deck, lots of guests have done fishing off here however it is not a fishing lake and you may be told not too so its at your own risk. There does seem to be a lot of fish in the lake as the boats are only running at certain times now.
Boats you will see after 5-6pm the waterski members will be out on their boats. Great to watch, the committee is working on some days that we can invite guests to join in at an expense so when this transpires I will let my guests know.
BEFORE ARRIVAL – If you do enjoy watersports you may want to pack a jet ski suit if you have one to try the watersports. You do not need passes for this.

Blink Cameras (As you arrive you will see this near the gate pointing to the drive only!)
As all holiday parks our lodge and items are just as valuable as our protection at home. To make sure the lodge and our other assets are safe we use the Blink system this is also an added extra security for your car and valuables too.
As per our term and conditions - please have holiday insurance in place I have the outdoor camera set up to prevent theft and criminal activity. I am not looking at you… this camera is only looking down our driveway to ensure safety. Unfortunately, I have had guests unplug this so this is now installed at home instead of the van.
I am not bothered if you are having a shindig!

I am not the fun police either nor interested on how you spend your holiday so chill n enjoy …
Utility
Contains - Iron – iron board – hover – mop first aid kit
Washing machine – we don’t leave any washing machine powder or tablets so if you need to do a wash please bring some, sometimes again with the tv – the washing machine may have been unplugged, under the boiler you will find the plug points for this.
Speaker, large speaker we tend to take this outside and plug it in the middle decking point near the bbq stand. Please don’t leave this outside in the rain.
Boiler – boiler also lives here, we have swapped to have our thermostat on a timer as we have had a few guests now forgetting and leaving the heating on at 26, and in quieter months the lodge may be left unoccupied and the heating on full blast which has resulted in other guests running out of gas when we know the should have been plentiful.

Please have a good look around the lodge for any belongings
Please wash and pop away any pots, or any dishwasher items popped away too
If you have used the ninja bbq, air fryer, microwave or oven please look for anything that may need a quick wash stary oven trays etc.
Washing machine – please triple check the washing machine, we have had a couple of instances where we have had a washer full of washing, which we have had to re wash and dry and send back.
Rubbish, Please take all rubbish from the lodge bins are provided left of the caravan on the right hand side 2 large skips for all the rubbish.
Beds
If you have time as I know it can be a mad rush, please strip the beds leaving the mattress and pillow protectors on. Only on the beds slept in. Don’t worry if not enjoy your last minutes x

In 2025 We were going to sell..The waterski Escape was brought on the basis to escape, enjoy a little peace, a lovely spot to relax and just be!… to create memories and chill!...
When our children got older and their own journeys began we wanted them to make their own escape outlets like the waterski escape for us.
Like most things, life steps in, the world still moves, work, more work and never ending choices… The chilled sunsets and lake life we just couldn’t give up. So we hesitated to open to rent having camped here with our children 20 years ago on the old camp site we where not ready to give it up just yet. N just by luck before we hung out jet ski suits up forever a friend suggested renting. I haven’t got time in my life for that I instantly said but my heart, the plot, the view, the sun, the lake and the lodge said but what about this!!!!
So here I am, taking a chance on you, in looking after my lodge that I once dreamed of owning looking out from my tent 20 years ago, here’s too you my next guest.
